By using becounselled.ca or submitting a matching request, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the matching service.
The service
BeCounselled provides general information and facilitates introductions to participating counselling providers. It is not an emergency service, medical service, health authority, regulator or guarantee of professional suitability.
No counselling relationship with the platform
Using this website or submitting a matching request does not itself establish a counselling relationship. A counselling relationship begins only if you and a provider separately agree to work together and complete that provider’s informed-consent process.
Matches and participating providers
A proposed match is an introduction based on limited information, not a clinical assessment, endorsement, diagnosis or promise of fit. A proposed provider may be affiliated with BeCounselled or may be an independent participating provider. Providers are responsible for their own qualifications, scope, availability, fees, documentation and professional services.
Fees and insurance
There is currently no fee to submit a matching request. Counselling fees are established by the provider. Benefit eligibility and reimbursement depend on your policy and the provider’s credentials. You are responsible for confirming coverage directly with your insurer before booking.
Emergencies
Do not use this website for urgent or crisis support. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are thinking about suicide in Canada, call or text 988. Response times to website requests are not guaranteed.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, submit knowingly false information, interfere with site operation or use the service for unlawful purposes.
Changes and availability
Website content, participating providers and service availability may change. BeCounselled may update these terms by posting a revised date on this page.
